About Me

Hi, I’m Samantha.

I write about life as it actually feels for a working woman living with multiple sclerosis.

It’s messy, and sometimes heavy, but still worth showing up for.

A few years ago, everything shifted. My health, my routines, my sense of control… all of it changed in ways I didn’t see coming. Since then, I’ve been learning how to rebuild—not into who I used to be, but into someone stronger, more self-aware, and a little more honest about what life really looks like.

This blog is where that honesty lives.

What You’ll Find Here

On xo, samantha jo, I write about:

  • navigating chronic illness and unpredictable health
  • relationships—the good, the complicated, and the ones that change you
  • personal growth that isn’t aesthetic or easy
  • rebuilding routines, habits, and identity
  • finding small moments of control in a life that doesn’t always cooperate

Some posts are reflective. Some are practical. Some are just me trying to make sense of things in real time.

Why I Started This Blog

I didn’t start this because I had everything figured out.

I started it because I didn’t.

There’s a lot of pressure online to package life into clean lessons and perfect endings. That’s not how my story has gone—and I don’t think I’m the only one.

Especially for women with chronic illness.

So instead of waiting until everything made sense, I started writing anyway.

A Little More About Me

  • I work full-time in the legal field
  • I’m a competitive powerlifter and referee
  • I’m learning how to balance discipline with grace
  • I care deeply, think a lot, and probably overanalyze everything
  • I’m building a life that works for me—even if it looks different than I planned

If You’re Here…

Maybe you’re trying to get your life back on track.
Maybe your body or your circumstances forced you to slow down.
Maybe you’re in a season that doesn’t make sense yet.

You’re in the right place.
